Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of kerosene and distilled water as dielectrics on the electric discharge machining characteristics of Ti–6A1–4V
TL;DR: In this paper, the machining characteristics of Ti-6A1-4V were investigated with kerosene and distilled water as the dielectrics, and the results showed that the material removal rate is greater and the relative electrode wear ratio is lower, when machining in distilled water rather than in keroene.
Journal ArticleDOI
The machinability of KOVAR material
TL;DR: In this article, the machinability of round KOVAR bar in a lath, using four different cutting tools, i.e. P10, cemented carbide (with TiN coating), pure Al2O3, and AL2C with TiC, was studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrical discharge machining characteristics of Ti-6Al-4V alloy using distilled water as a dielectric fluid
Journal ArticleDOI
超音波複合振動付加によるTi–6Al–4V合金の材料除去率の改善
TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient machining process, which combines electrical discharge machining and multiple ultrasonic vibration, is proposed for improving the material removal rate of both SKD11 and Ti-6Al-4V alloy.
