Effect of drought on oil, fatty acids and protein contents of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) seeds

TL;DR: In ICGVs 88369, 88371, 88381, 88382 and 88403, total oil content remained unaffected while oleic fatty acid content increased under end-of-season drought, these were identified as desirable parents for a breeding program to develop cultivars suitable for rainfed cultivation.

Evaluation of blanching quality in groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)

TL;DR: This article evaluated the blanchability of Spanish and 46 Virginia groundnut genotypes, grown in the 1992 rainy season and the 1992/1993 post-rainy season at the ICRISAT Asia Center, and found that the effects of growing season on various blanching quality parameters were more pronounced in the Virginia genotypes than in Spanish genotypes.

Breeding For Improved Seed Quality Traits in Groundnut(Arachis Hypogaea L.)

TL;DR: From the mid-1970s there has been a gradual increase in the use of groundnut as a high energy food and its food use in the \\iorlcl increased by34-% in 19S0s and is expected to increase further.
