Journal ArticleDOI

Diastereoselective epoxidation of olefins by organo sulfonic peracids, II

TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of sulfonic peracids in situ generated towards olefins and homoally-lic alcohols was investigated and α,β-unsaturated ketones were obtained in good yields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sulfonic peracids — III. Heteroatom oxidation and chemoselectivity

TL;DR: In this paper, the p-toluenesulfonic peracid (2) generated in situ in the oxidation of different types of compounds containing nitrogen and/or sulfur was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Organo Sulfonic Peracids. 4.(1) The Reaction of Arenesulfonylimidazoles with H(2)O(2) in the Presence of Ketones. A New Entry to Dioxiranes.

TL;DR: The dioxirane oxidation pathway appears to be virtually exclusive one in this system in which only 5 equiv of ketone are used, and one example for the nonaqueous in situ generation of dimethyldoxirane is given.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diastereoselective epoxidation and bishydroxylation of cyclic tert-butyl allyl peroxides

TL;DR: In this paper, the epoxidation and the OsO 4 -catalyzed bishydroxylation of cyclic tert-butyl allyl peroxides 1-6 have been investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

New principles in metallomesogen structure–magnetism correlations

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure of non-mesogenic binuclears is determined via X-ray crystallography, and via the strength of magnetic coupling for the mesogenic ones, showing that the central metal environments have a marked distortion towards tetrahedral (>36°) and that the stronger magnetic coupling indicates that this is closer to planar (25°).
