Gold and Silver Nanoparticles Biomimetically Synthesized Using Date Palm Pollen Extract-Induce Apoptosis and Regulate p53 and Bcl-2 Expression in Human Breast Adenocarcinoma Cells.

TL;DR: The synthesis of both silver and gold nanoparticles using the pollen extract of Phoenix dactylifera resulted in stable and poly-dispersed silver nanoparticles andgold nanoparticles, exhibiting strong and broad surface plasmon absorption peaks.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal Chemosensitization of Breast Cancer Cells to Cyclophosphamide Treatment Using Folate Receptor Targeted Gold Nanoparticles

TL;DR: The study suggests the feasibility of using αH FR targeted GNPs for facilitating increased cellula r uptake of CPA in cancer cells expressing elevated αHFR, allowing reduction in drug dosage.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bacterial Community Structure in Anaerobic Digesters of a Full Scale Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant ‒ Case Study of Dubai, United Arab Emirates

TL;DR: Monitoring the bacterial community of three full-scale anaerobic digesters of a full- scale municipal wastewater treatment Plant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates showed that Bacterial domain was dominating in all three digesters compared to the archaeal domain.
Journal ArticleDOI

Assessing Methanogenic Archaeal Community in Full Scale Anaerobic Sludge Digester Systems in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

TL;DR: The methanogenic archaeal communities in three full-scale anaerobic digesters of a Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant were analyzed by Fluorescence in situ hybridization and quantitative real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) technique suggesting that aceticlastic methanogenesis is probably the dominant methane production pathway in these digesters.
