Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of green, red, and near infrared bands for predicting winter wheat biomass, nitrogen uptake, and final grain yield
TL;DR: In this paper, a study was conducted to determine which normalized difference vegetative index (NDVI) is more correlated with biomass, forage nitrogen uptake, and final grain yield of winter wheat.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of Optimum Rate and Growth Stage for Foliar‐Applied Phosphorus in Corn
Kefyalew Girma,K. L. Martin,K. W. Freeman,Jagadeesh Mosali,R. K. Teal,William R. Raun,S. M. Moges,Daryl B. Arnall +7 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that foliar P could be used as an efficient P‐management tool in corn when applied at the appropriate growth stage and rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrogen Balance in the Magruder Plots Following 109 Years in Continuous Winter Wheat
R. L. Davis,J. J. Patton,R. K. Teal,Y. Tang,M. T. Humphreys,Jagadeesh Mosali,Kefyalew Girma,J. W. Lawles,S. M. Moges,A. Malapati,J. Si,Hailin Zhang,Shiping Deng,Gordon V. Johnson,R. W. Mullen,William R. Raun +15 more
TL;DR: The Magruder plots are the oldest continuous soil fertility wheat research plots in the United States and are one of the longest continuous continuous fertility wheat plots in world as discussed by the authors. But they are not suitable for crop rotation.
