Journal ArticleDOI
No-Reference Pixel Video Quality Monitoring of Channel-Induced Distortion
TL;DR: This paper proposes a maximum a posteriori estimation of the pattern of lost macroblocks, which assumes the knowledge of the decoded pixels only, which produces an accurate estimate of the mean-square-error (MSE) distortion introduced by channel errors.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Estimating channel-induced distortion in H.264/AVC video without bitstream information
TL;DR: This paper estimates the missing coding parameters, as well as the channel error pattern, and feeds them into a no-reference quality monitoring system which produces accurate estimates of the MSE distortion, which is well correlated with the distortion computed in full-reference mode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ensemble classification combining ResNet and handcrafted features with three-steps training
Guadalupe García-Isla,Federico M. Muscato,A. Sansonetti,S. Magni,Valentina D. A. Corino,Luca Mainardi +5 more
TL;DR: This is the first work studying the training procedure to properly integrate both types of information for ECG signals classification, and may provide a path to add explicit information into the classification decision process.
