Properties of molten carboxylates

TL;DR: In this article, a model of the isotropic liquid consistent with the viscosity data was proposed by analogy to the properties of fused aqueous ampiphilic mesophases, and the chain length dependence of the entropies of the crystal→G and G→V 2 or G→liquid transitions demonstrates disordering of the hydrocarbon chain is a stepwise process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Properties of molten carboxylates part 6. A quantiative differential thermal analysis study of phase transitions in some zinc and cadmium carboxylates

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase changes in some cadmium and zinc n-alkanoates have been studied and the total entropy of the solid-to-liquid transition is small indicating a high degree of aggregation in the isotropic liquid.
Journal ArticleDOI

The properties of molten carboxylates: Part 7. Odd-even variations in melting and mesophase formation in the lead(III) carboxylates

TL;DR: In this paper, measurements of the temperatures and heats of transition of the phase changes in the lead n -alkanoates of odd carbon chain length from heptanoate to nonadecanoate inclusive were made.
Journal ArticleDOI

Properties of molten carboxylates part 5. A quantitative differential thermal analysis study of mesophase formation in the sytems lead(II)dodecanoate/lead(II) oxide and lead(II)dodecanoate/hendecane

TL;DR: In this paper, the R theory of amphiphybrid mesophases has been used in the interpretation of phase transitions in molten carboxylate systems, and the results of the analysis were shown to be useful in the analysis of phase transition in lead dodecanoate/lead oxide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stigma by Association: To what Extent is the Attitude Toward Naloxone Affected by the Stigma of Opioid Use Disorder?

TL;DR: Evidence is presented that challenges common assertions about OUD stigma being the sole and direct driving force behind naloxone stigma, and the purported magnitude of the barrier that nalOXone stigma constitutes for nAloxone distribution programs among the stakeholders.
