Studies on the mixed ligand complexes involving ligands of biological importance (Ni(II), Zn(II) or Cd(II)-1,10-phenanthroline-α-amino acids)

TL;DR: In this article, the formation constants of the resulting mixed ligand complexes have been calculated at 30 ± 1°C (μ = 0.1 KNO3), and the order of the stability in terms of the metal ions has been found to be: Ni(II) > Zn(II), > Cd(II); secondary ligands: gly > ala > norleu.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on the Mixed Ligand Complexes Involving Ligands of Biological Importance (Ni(II)/Zn(II)/Cd(II)-1,10-phenanthroline-2,2′ -bipyridyl-phenylalanine)

TL;DR: In this paper, the ternary complexes involving Phen are found to be more stable than the corresponding complexes involving Bipy as primary ligand, and the formation constants of the resulting complexes have been determined at 30 ± 1 °C and ionic strength (µ) = 0.1 KNO3.
