Secret Sharing (SS) scheme divides a secret image into shadow images (referred to as shares) in a way that requires the shadows in a certain privileged coalition for the secret reconstruction. However, the secret image cannot be revealed if they are not combined in a prescribed way. In this paper, the evolution of the traditional secret sharing scheme to the contemporary of secret sharing scheme has been presented based on its technology adoption. The basic comparison between the traditional secret sharing scheme and Visual cryptography is presented. The image-based share generation process has been explained in the context of pixel sharing patterns and its process. The reconstruction image is obtained by the XOR /OR Boolean operation. The threshold-based share generation schemes are explained mathematically and the comparative analysis of these schemes also presented.

An Antiquity to the contemporary of Secret Sharing Scheme

In this paper, a robust optimal zero-watermarking technique based on genetic algorithm for secret watermark sharing is proposed for the purpose of copyright protection. It is implemented in discrete cosine transform (DCT) for gray scale images in which the visual secret sharing is used to generate unexpanded master and secret shares for the watermark. The GA based zero watermarking is used to select the perfect positions to extract the robust features. The experimental results indicate that the proposed scheme is highly robust even after different types of attacks being applied, where NC values of each selected attack are considered in the fitness function of the genetic optimization algorithm.

A robust Optimal Zero-Watermarking Technique for Secret Watermark Sharing

The paper present the fuzzy logic based simulation for the resistance spot welding process, which is capable to predict the nugget size, tensile shear strength, and peel strength. Welding current, weld cycle and electrode pressure are taken as the process variables for RSW process. The experimental data were used for construction a fuzzy logic model to predict the effect of the input variables on the responses. The fuzzy model was also tested for a number of test cases to establish its adequacy. The error in predicting the outputs for the input data was within acceptable limits indicating the adequacy of the model to be used for complex processes like RSW.

Modelling the resistance spot welding of galvanized steel sheets using Fuzzy logic controller

In this paper, we propose a watermarking algorithm for colour image, concept of visual cryptography extended to digital watermarking based on VSS algorithm. An image which has to be transmitted (watermark) is split into two sheet-images using visual secret sharing algorithm. Then, one sheet-image are embedded into the host image blue component before transmission and second sheet-image is held by the owner At the receiving end, user extracts the sheet-images from the watermarked image and stacks the two sheet-images directly without any leakage of information about the original image. The algorithm can satisfy the transparency and robustness of the watermarking system very well. Sheet-image are embedded into the host image green, blue and red component one by one and compared. The results showed that mostly blue component gives better result.

So, media pro- ducers are more frequently dealing with illegal and unauthorized usage of their productions.Over the last two decades, digital watermarking has been addressed as an effective solution to safeguard copyright laws and an extensive effort has been made to design robust watermarking algorithms. Basi- cally, a digital watermark is an invisible mark that is inserted into a digital media such as audio, image, or video to identify illegal distributions of copyright protected digital media and also law breaking customers. A digital watermark must have special features to achieve functionalities desired. The embed- ded mark should be robust enough against various watermarking attacks, while keeping the perceived quality of the host signal unchanged (the imper- ceptibility requirement). Watermarking attacks consist of deliberate attacks made maliciously to remove or change the mark sequence by law- breakers, unintentional modifications caused by coding and compression that are made to the digital media prior to transmission and/or storage, and errors occurred during the transmission of the media through the networks.Digital watermarking using visual cryptography provides improved security for encrypting secret images. Digital Watermarking Scheme For Secret Images Using Visual Cryptography

With the explosive growth of internet technology robust methods are being developed to protect the proprietary rights of the multimedia. This paper considers the problem of embedding a binary watermark in a gray-level image using the concept of Visual Cryptography (VC). This paper proposes a watermarking scheme which offers better security than Hwang's method, so that, attackers will not be able to detect ownership information. The proposed scheme embeds the secret image without modifying the host image. In addition, the hidden secret image can be extracted without using the original host image and allows multiple watermarks to be embedded in the same image. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme is robust to withstand several image processing attacks such as JPEG compression, noise adding, sharpening and blurring.
