Исследовано влияние теплой прокатки на структуру и механические свойства низкоуглеродистой малолегированной стали 05Г2МФБ. Теплая прокатка приводит к формированию волокнистой ультрамелкозернистой (УМЗ) структуры со средним размером зерен / субзерен 0.5 мкм в поперечном сечении и длиной вытянутых зерен / субзерен 20—30 мкм в продольном сечении. Установлено, что формирование УМЗ структуры приводит к повышению предела текучести стали в 1.5 раза по сравнению с мелкозернистой (МЗ) структурой при сохранении требуемой пластичности. Показано, что в стали с УМЗ структурой значение ударной вязкости при температуре –196 0C выше в 15 раз, чем в исходном МЗ состоянии. Установлено, что в УМЗ состоянии общая работа разрушения при температуре –196 0C повышается за счет увеличения работы распространения трещины по сравнению с исходным МЗ состоянием. Фрактографический анализ поверхности изломов после ударных испытаний при температуре –196 0C показал, что в состоянии после прокатки на поверхности разрушения наблюдается излом смешанного типа, а в исходном состоянии излом полностью относится к хрупкому типу. В обоих состояниях материала на поверхности разрушения при всех температурах испытания наблюдаются трещины-расщепления.
