Wireless Indoor Localization Systems and Techniques: Survey and Comparative Study

TL;DR: A survey of the existing indoor positioning solutions and attempt to classify different its techniques and systems to have a good understanding of state of the art technologies and motivate new research efforts in this promising direction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis and Evaluation of Performance Gains and Tradeoffs for Massive MIMO Systems

TL;DR: Simulation results show that the unbounded number of base station antennas boosts the array gain through concentrating the energy to spatial directions where users are sited, hence diminishing loss in array gain due to pilot contamination and the spatial diversity gain is measured in term of outage probability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Proposed an Adaptive Bitrate Algorithm based on Measuring Bandwidth and Video Buffer Occupancy for Providing Smoothly Video Streaming

TL;DR: Simulation results show that the proposed scheme is able to converge the measured bandwidth to the fair share bandwidth very quickly and when compared with conventional scheme, it is found that this proposed scheme outperforms in achieving the best performance in terms of efficiency, stability and fairness.
Journal ArticleDOI

Developing a Video Buffer Framework for Video Streaming in Cellular Networks

TL;DR: Results showed that the system throughput of the proposed framework outperforms other existing algorithms such as playout buffer and discontinuous reception aware scheduling (PBDAS), maximum carrier-to-interface ratio (MAX-CIR), and proportional fair (PF) due to enhancing the quality of experience for video streaming by increasing the radio resources in fairness manner.
