Integrated transportation systems serve as the infrastructure of our society, and their coordination have a great impact on regional socio-economic development. This paper constructs a three-tier evaluation indicator system for the modal coordination of an integrated transportation network by taking into consideration three criteria, namely, structural matching, reasonable layout, and effective integration. The weight of each evaluation indicator is determined based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and inputs from experts. And the membership degree of each indicator is calculated using a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) method. Finally, this evaluation indicator system is applied to a regional transportation network to validate its effectiveness. The results show that the overall modal coordination of the regional transportation network is "good", which means there is a large room for optimization. The proposed method for evaluating the modal coordination of an integrated transportation network can provide a scientific basis for the planning and structural layout optimization of regional transportation networks.
