The main objective of this work is to present a comprehensive study that scrutinize the influence of DD convection and induced magnetic field on peristaltic pumping of Boron Nitride-Ethylene Glycol nanofluid flow through a vertical complex irregular microchannel. Experimental study showed that the nanofluid created by suspending Boron Nitride particles in a combination of Ethylene Glycol exhibited non-Newtonian characteristics. Further, the Carreau's fluid model provides accurate predictions about the rheological properties of BN-EG nanofluid. In order to imitate complicated peristaltic wave propagation conditions, sophisticated waveforms are forced at the walls. The essential properties of Brownian motion and thermophoresis phenomena are also included in simulating of heat equation as well as viscous dissipation. Mathematical simulation is performed by utilizing the lubrication approach. The resulting nonlinear coupled differential equation system is solved numerically using the built-in command (ND Solve function) in the Mathematica program. Numerical and pictorial evidence is used to illustrate the importance of various physiological features of flow quantities. The major findings demonstrated that the thermal resistance is observed to rise as the Soret and Dufour numbers increase, while the dissolvent concentration and nanoparticles volume fraction have the opposite effect.

Abstract According to a survey of the literature, nanofluids are superior to traditional fluids at transferring heat. A detailed analysis of the models mentioned above is crucial since there are large gaps in the illumination of current solutions for improving heat transfer in nanomaterials. The ongoing investigation's purpose is to ascertain the tiny size gold particles drift in free with the heat and mass transfer, buoyancy forces, thermophoresis, and Brownian motion of a micropolar nanofluid being transported through a porous medium in an asymmetric channel with a uniform magnetic field using a long-wavelength and low Reynolds number approximation. The resulting dimensionless nonlinear governing equations have been numerically solved using a MATLAB software and the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg integration scheme. Two comparisons with previously investigated problems are also made to confirm our findings, and an excellent concurrence is discovered. As a result, trustworthy results are being given. Numerical solutions are used to describe the effects of different thermal-fluidic parameters on velocity profiles, temperature, concentration, micropolar rotation, pressure gradient, shear stress, heat flux, and nanoparticle volume flux, etc. Tables, graphs, and bar charts are used to present and discuss numerical results that have been produced. A comparison of the resulting numerical solution to earlier literature also reveals a satisfactory level of agreement. Insight into real-world applications such nanofluidic, energy conservation, friction reduction, and power generation are provided by this work. Furthermore, the Brownian and thermophoresis parameters behave significantly differently in a concentration field. On the other hand, the study puts forward an important note that for peristaltic flow of a micropolar fluid with nanoparticles can be controlled by suitably adjusting the micropolar parameter, thermophoresis parameter, nanoparticle Grashof number, and Brownian motion parameter.

Heat and mass transfer for MHD peristaltic flow in a micropolar nanofluid: mathematical model with thermophysical features

PurposeThis paper aims to study the gravity effects on a micro-elongated thermoelastic layer under a fluid load, utilizing the Lord–Shulman (L-S) theory and the dual-phase-lag (DPL) model.Design/methodology/approachThe analytical method used was the normal mode which partial differential equations transform into ordinary differential equations.FindingsAluminum epoxy numerical computations are carried out, and the results are graphed. The gravitational field effect on a micro-elongated thermoelastic layer under a fluid load with two theories

This article studied a numerical estimation of the double-diffusive peristaltic flow of a non-Newtonian Sisko nanofluid through a porous medium inside a horizontal symmetric flexible channel under the impact of Joule heating, nonlinear thermal radiation, viscous dissipation, and heat generation/absorption in presence of heat and mass convection, considering effects of the Brownian motion and the thermophoresis coefficients. On the other hand, the long wave approximation was used to transform the nonlinear system of partial differential equations into a nonlinear system of ordinary differential equations which were later solved numerically using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique using MATLAB package program code. The effects of all physical parameters resulting from this study on the distributions of velocity, temperature, solutal concentration, and nanoparticles volume fraction inside the fluid were studied in addition to a study of the pressure gradients using the 2D and 3D graphs that were made for studying the impact of some parameters on the behavior of the streamlines graphically within the channel with a mention of their physical meaning. Finally, some of the results of this study showed that the effect of Darcy number [Formula: see text] and the magnetic field parameter [Formula: see text] is opposite to the effect of the rotation parameter [Formula: see text] on the velocity distribution whereas, the two parameters nonlinear thermal radiation [Formula: see text] and the ratio temperature [Formula: see text] works on a decrease in the temperature distribution and an increase in both the solutal concentration distribution, and the nanoparticle's volume fraction. Finally, the impact of the rotation parameter [Formula: see text] on the distribution of pressure gradients was positive, but the effect of both Darcy number [Formula: see text] and the magnetic field parameter [Formula: see text] on the same distribution was negative. The results obtained have been compared with the previous results obtained that agreement if the new parameters were neglected and indicate the phenomenon's importance in diverse fields.

This paper provides a rudimentary insight into the influence of heat and mass transfer on the magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD) Jeffrey fluid peristaltic flow filling porous space in a symmetric inclined channel using a rotating frame with chemical reaction. In contrast to previous attempts, the flow formulation is based on the impact of a modified Darcy's law porous media on the Jeffrey fluid condition. The derived equations were solved analytically via the standard long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions to determine the pressure gradient, temperature, dimensionless velocity, pressure rise, and friction force. Otherwise, the concentration was numerically processed using the ND-Solve built-in command of Mathematica. Such a numerical technique is beneficial in minimizing error and reducing CPU time per evaluation. It chooses an appropriate algorithm for solving the problem. The graph is used to physically interpret the numerical answers for the base flow profiles. For numerous parameters of interest that enter into the issues, graphical findings are developed and tested. The impacts of various involved parameters appearing in the solutions are carefully analyzed. The trapping phenomena are discussed for several parameters. Electromagnetic peristaltic micropumps, for example, are one application of the current study in biomedical engineering. : This article is concerned with study of the steady and incompressible three-dimensional flow of magnetohydrodynamic couple stress nanofluids over a stretching sheet through a porous medium under influence of, non-linear thermal radiation and heat generation/absorption, taking into account effects of both Brownian motion coefficient and thermophoresis coefficient. On the other hand, the system of nonlinear partial differential equations governing the flow process has been transformed into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations and dimensionless variables, knowing that the numerical method used to solve the new system of differential equations is the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method with the shooting technique in the code of MATLAB program. The effects of all physical parameters resulting from this study on the distributions of velocity, temperature and concentration of nanoparticles within the base fluid were studied by means of graphs that were made by the MATLAB program. Finally, some of the results of the current study showed that the effects of the magnetic field parameter and Darcy number on the velocity distribution were negative, while their effect on the concentration of nanoparticle distribution was positive.

MHD Three-Dimensional Flow of Couple Stress Nanofluids Over a Stretching hseet Through a Porous Medium in Presence of Heat Generation/Absorption and Non-Linear Thermal Radiation

In the present contribution, it is addressed the problem of plane wave reflection and transmission at the imperfect interface between thermoelastic halfspaces having different properties when the effect of magnetic and rotation fields is relevant. Using Green and Naghdi theory, we formulate the needed governing equations for thermoelastic bodies occupying both an half space under the assumption that each of them is homogeneous and isotropic. We could solve in a closed form the problem of planar waves whose propagation is determined by postulated balance equations. The amplitude of transmitted and reflected waves are obtained so that we can prove that one can observe three kinds of waves, namely, P–waves, T–waves and SV–waves. Our closed form solution allows us to determine the amplitude ratios between reflected and refracted waves also in the case of imperfect boundary. In particular, we obtain that these amplitude ratios depend on the elastic stiffness, the magnetic field and on the thermal properties of the considered bodies. Also the case of stress-free boundary has been considered. The effect of the magnetic and rotation fields is investigated via suitable numerical computations. We observe that rotation and magnetic fields may induce relevant phenomenology.
