The head-mounted display includes an image presentation unit configured to present an image to an eye of a user, a control unit configured to play content data and control the image presentation unit to present an image obtained by playing the content data, a power supply management unit configured to manage supply and cutoff of power to the image presentation unit, and a detection unit configured to detect a segmentation point of content indicated by the content data played by the control unit. The control unit is configured to stop playing the content data in response to the detection unit detecting the segmentation point. The power supply management unit is configured to cut off the power supplied to the image presentation unit in response to the detection unit detecting the segmentation point.

An apparatus includes a device for generating plural recognition candidates from a user's utterance including a series of words and a device for screening the candidates to select a few appropriate series of words from the candidates. In selecting the appropriate series of words, various factors are taken into consideration. Those factors include evaluation of sentence structures, grammar, relation among words and dialogue topics, and situations surrounding the user. For example, a dialogue topic is first determined, and then a recognition dictionary that only includes words relating to the determined topic is dynamically restructured in the system. Words included in the series of words are recognized and determined with reference to the restructured dictionary. Thus, recognition errors are minimized and determination of a correct series of words is effectively performed.

The invention discloses a method and a system for displaying subtitles by code streams without subtitles through voice recognition. According to the method and the system, a user sets a language on aprogram language setting interface and transmits a command to a set top box; the set top box automatically monitors the program according to voice recognition equipment, recognizes some program sources without the subtitles, converts into a corresponding text form through a transcoder according to the preset program language, and displays the text form on the current playing program, so that a hearing-impaired and speech-impaired user can understand the content of the current playing program conveniently, and the user can more easily understand the content of the program in noisy places. Tedious voice operation of man-machine communication is omitted, and the set top box automatically updates the program subtitles to the user. The interface design is relatively friendly, the program language setting interface can be provided for the user, and the effect can meet the requirements of the user. The method and the system have the advantages of high intelligent degree, easy operation, humanized design and good using effect.

Method and system for displaying subtitles by code streams without subtitles through voice recognition

PURPOSE: A subtitle-displaying presentation device and a method help a presenter to clearly deliver his message in a presentation by generating texts corresponding to his spoken words and displaying the texts on an output screen of an electronic document as a subtitle. CONSTITUTION: A display unit (111) loads and displays an electronic document for a presentation on a screen. A text generation unit (112) receives the voice of a user through a microphone, analyzes sound patterns of the voice, and generates texts corresponding to the voice. A text storage unit (113) stores words constituting the texts in a queue of a buffer one by one in order. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to recognize information through the combination of an image and characters by displaying on a screen the voice of a talker recognized as characters in a telop form. SOLUTION: An image conversion section 25 converts voice data supplied from a voice recognition section 22 that recognizes a received voice and provides an output of the voice data into character image data consisting of character strings in time series of utterance, and the character image data inserted in the video signal and synthesized are then displayed on a screen of a monitor receiver 33 being a display means. The character data are converted into an image in a way that the characters in the order of utterance is moved in succession from the right to the left on the screen, wherein the image is synthesized on a computer image or a video image and the resulting image is displayed as a telop.
