TL;DR: The recent development of CD34-restricted monoclonal antibodies may allow the identification, characterization, and isolation of hematopoietic bone marrow CD34+ progenitors capable of reconstituting hematoiesis in lethally irradiated baboons and probably also in cancer patients treated with myeloablative chemoradiotherapy.
