TL;DR: It is suggested that hand-to-mouth activity may be a significant source of exposure to PBDEs and age, socioeconomic status, and breast-feeding were significant predictors of exposure, but associations varied by congener.

TL;DR: PBDEs and OH-BDEs are prevalent in this cohort of pregnant women, and levels are similar to those in the general population, which suggests PBDEs may be affecting thyroid regulation throughout pregnancy.
