IoT is simply interconnecting computing devices through a connected network. IoT is capable of transferring enormous data over the network without human intercession. This real-time data is managed using cloud services, supported with powerful computational software and hardware. This data is collected from numerous sensors installed in the user environment. IoT is the future of computation and will impact our lives in every aspect. In this paper, we have presented an IoT powered wireless sensor network for Gas Detection. These detectors are able to detect burnable, combustible, and dangerous gases, and oxygen consumption using numerous sensors connected through IoT. This system is very flexible while accessing remote devices wirelessly around the world. This system offers the benefits of less power consumption and computational cost. In addition, it contributes to the development of open and compact size stacks.

An Effective IoT Empowered Real-time Gas Detection System for Wireless Sensor Networks

Design is an important thing in this research. This design includes the specifications of the components contained in the circuit and how the circuit works. In the early stages, component selection is done as needed. After getting the required components, the next step is the design and manufacture of tools. This design is intended to learn the circuit and work system tool that will be made. The purpose of making this tool is design and make blower smoke and auto fragrance disposal using MQ-5 sensor based microcontroller ATMega 8535. The benefits of making smoke disposal and auto fragrance blower using MQ-5 sensor based microcontroller ATMega 8535 is to dispose cigarette smoke and automatically fragrances the room to prevent the build-up of cigarette smoke in a room and to help minimize the dangers of cigarette smoke for passive smokers so that the air circulation in the room keeps going well.

Design of cigarette disposal blower and automatic freshner using MQ-5 sensor based on atmega 8535 microcontroller

This paper is based on a system which is used to detect various hazardous gases with the help of arduino. This work changes the presently available systems that are set industrial areas and this system can also be used in houses and at work place. The primary aim of the work is to design arduino based hazardous gas detecting system using gas sensors. The toxic gases like butane (also known as LPG), methane and carbon monoxide are sensed and displayed on the LCD display. The concentration of the gasses will be shown in the form of percentage by LCD display.

Hazardous Gas Detection using Arduino

Incident of oil leakage and theft in oil tank often happens. To prevent it, the liquid volume insides the tank needs to be monitored continuously. Aim of the study is to calculate the liquid volume inside oil tank on any road condition and send the volume data and location data to the user. This research use some ultrasonic sensors (to monitor the fluid height), Bluetooth modules (to sent data from the sensors to the Arduino microcontroller), Arduino Microcontroller (to calculate the liquid volume), and also GPS/GPRS/GSM Shield module (to get location of vehicle and sent the data to the Server). The experimental results show that the accuracy rate of monitoring liquid volume inside tanker while the vehicle is in the flat road is 99.33% and the one while the vehicle is in the road with elevation angle is 84%. Thus, this system can be used to monitor the tanker position and the liquid volume in any road position continuously via web application to prevent illegal theft.

Liquid volume monitoring based on ultrasonic sensor and Arduino microcontroller

Gas leakage is a major problem with industrial sector, residential premises and gas powered vehicles like CNG (compressed natural gas) buses, cars etc and this Problem has been the sole reason for many accidents in the past. One of the preventive methods to stop accident associated with the gas leakage is to install gas leakage detection kit at vulnerable places. The aim of this paper is to design and implement automatic gas accident prevention system that can automatically detect and stop gas leakage in vulnerable premises using MQ 5 gas sensor. In this particular gas sensor has been used which has high sensitivity to LPG and natural gases and it detects the leakage of gas if there is any leakage our system will automatically take the preventive measures to avoid fire accidents like turning off the gas supply by turning off the valve and removing the leaked gas from the premises. For extra precautionary method it turns off the main power supply of house. This system also consists of GSM (Global System for mobile communications) module, which alerts by sending SMS to the owner.

Implementation of Automatic Gas Accident Prevention System using Arduino and GSM

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is an inevitable on e in day-to-day life. LPG is used as a fuel in a ra nge of applications including in heating and cooking appli ances, industrial applications, in vehicles and as a propellant and refrigerant. Due to leakage of LPG, it produces haz ardous and toxic impact for human beings and also f or other living creatures. To overcome this predicament, we need quittance. Thereby, we speculate some solution s to detect the LPG Gas leakage and make alert to the users who are using LPG Gas. In this paper we are using LPG gas sensor for sensing the leakage and produce the result in a udio and visual formats also alerts human via Short Message Service (SMS). The sensor has excellent sensitivity combined with a quick requital time. The sensor ha s also sense iso-butane, propane and cigarette smoke. This paper provides design approach on both software and hard ware.
