An image-forming device has a plurality of cylindrical image-carrying members, and an optical scanning unit. The plurality of cylindrical image-carrying members is provided in a main casing for rotating about respective rotational axes. The rotational axes are parallel to one another and juxtaposed in a single direction. The optical scanning unit is provided in the main casing and has a plurality of laser generators, a single rotatable polygon mirror, a plurality of mirrors, and a plurality of lenses. The plurality of laser generators is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members to emit respective laser beams. The single rotatable polygon mirror deflects the respective laser beams to scan the respective image-carrying members therewith. The plurality of mirrors is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members to guide the respective laser beams along respective optical paths to the respective image-carrying members. The plurality of lenses is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members and provided in the respective optical paths and between the respective mirrors and the respective image-carrying members. Distances from the respective mirrors to the respective image-carrying members being equal to one another.

Absorption heat pump

A single-phase ground enclosed load break switch for distribution voltages has a hermetically sealed cylindrical metal housing of from 2 to 6 inches diameter which contains an insulating gas under pressure. The switch has a movable contact assembly to contact a pair of opposed stationary coaxial conductors within the housing. Movement of the contact assembly along one conductor breaks the connection with the other conductor and simultaneously reduces the sliding contact force on the first conductor. The switch has conductive bands coaxially positioned near the housing around the conductors for low voltage measurements monitoring conductor energization and contact position. A rocking bellows at the fulcrum of a crank actuator provides a compact hermetic seal for the actuator without excessive strain of the bellows. A safety interlock with a visual indicator locks the contact assembly in case of a loss of pressure. Excessive pressure in the switch causes the bellows to be punctured with consequent locking of the contact assembly. The switch is small enough to be mounted directly on a transformer or placed into a cable, without the need for a separate enclosure.

Method of testing breaker equivalent

PURPOSE:To perform an equivalent test approximating a small leading current interruption with a simple circuit constitution, by applying a commercial frequency voltage and a DC voltage to both terminals of a circuit breaker for test via a current suppressing high resistance. CONSTITUTION:An AC voltage is supplied to one side terminal of a circuit breaker 31 to be tested at the secondary winding of a transformer 7 via a current suppressing resistor 30. To another terminal, a capacitor 34 charged to a peak value of the test voltage in advance is connected in series via a current suppressing resistor 32 etc. Voltage measuring capacitors 36, 37, 38 and 39 are connected to both the terminals of the circuit breaker 31. When the circuit breaker 31 is opened, a voltage between the poles is instantly impressed. Taking the polarity of the charged capacitor 34 as negative, since the opening phase of the breaker is controlled at a point P in the earth voltage waveforms V1 and V2 of each voltage, a voltage of V3 is applied. The waveform between the poles is the same as the voltage waveform at small leading current test. Thus, an equivalent test approximating small leading current interruption can be made with a simple circuit.

Equivalent test method for circuit breaker

PURPOSE:To obtan economical equipment by a method wherein sufficient residual current is supplied by using a discharge control gap equipped with interrupting capacity, so that a high 4 parameter restriking-voltage is generated. CONSTITUTION:A power source is turned into the one consisting of the 1st and 2nd voltage source with a caoacitor as their power source. An oscillating current is led to flow to a discharge control gap 21 equipped with the interrupting capacity of the 2nd voltage source circuit through reactors 9, 10 from a voltage source capacitor 8 of the 1st voltage source circuit with polarity applied in the beginning of discharge to DC current flowing through a discharge resistor 18 from voltage source capacitors 13, 14 of the 2nd voltage source ciricuit. After a trial circuit breaker interrupts, restriking-voltage is applied to the breaker through the arc of the gap 21, then residual voltage is applied, and the gap 21 is interrupted in order to raise the interpole voltage.
