Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Crystal Structures of the Compounds [Sn{C(SiMe2Ph)3}Cl]2, [Pb{C(SiMe3)3}Cl]3, and [M{C(SiMe3)2(SiMe2OMe)}Cl]2 (M = Sn or Pb)

TL;DR: The first solvent-free σ-bonded mono-organo) lead(II) compounds were made by treatment of SnCl2 or PbCl2 in tetrahydrofuran with the appropriate reagent LiR as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Novel Organolead(II) Species the Plumbacycloalkane Derivative [CH2SiMe2C(SiMe3)2PbC(SiMe3)2SiMe2Ch2]

TL;DR: The first dialkylead(II) species to be structurally characterized is the title lead (II) derivative, obtained as dark blue crystals by treatment of PbCl2 with (TMEDA = N,N,NN, N'N', N'Tetramethylethylenediamine) in tetrahydrofuran and its structure determined by X-ray diffraction as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

The first monoorganolead(II) derivative, [PbR(-Cl)}2] where R = C(SiMe2Ph)3

TL;DR: The first monoorganolead (II) compound has been described in this article, which is the first known compound to have a tran-disposition and the lone-pair on lead is stereochemically active.
Journal ArticleDOI

An ether-free, internally coordinated dialkylcalcium(II) complex

TL;DR: In this paper, the alkylpotassium compound KC{SiMe3}(2){SiMe(2)hpp} (hppH = 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine) reacts with a slurry of CaI2 in toluene to give the internally coordinated dialkylcalcium(II) complex Ca(C{siMe3})(2.
Journal ArticleDOI

An Unusual Alkyltrihydroaluminate. Crystal Structures of [AlH2{C(SiMe3)2(SiMe2OMe)}(μ-H)Li(THF)], [AlCl2{C(SiMe2OMe)(SiMe3)2(THF)], and [Li{C(SiMe2OMe)(SiMe3)2}(THF)2] (THF = Tetrahydrofuran)

TL;DR: This paper showed that the Si−O bond from Li to the OMe in 1 oxygen is not significantly different in length from that to the THF oxygen, and the corresponding reaction with AlCl3 gave the title organoaluminum dichloride.
