TL;DR: The results of the X-ray study of the evolution of (2 2 2) Bragg peak during the field induced phase transition in PMN were presented in this paper, where the measurements were performed in the zero field cooling regime.

TL;DR: The origin of relaxor ferroelectric behavior is complex, and is likely to include both compositional as well as structural order and disorder as discussed by the authors, and examples of such local structural complexities in PMN and PLZT are discussed.
Abstract: The origin of relaxor ferroelectric behavior is complex, and is likely to include both compositional as well as structural order and disorder. Non-crystallographic methods of structural study by pulsed neutron and synchrotron X-ray scattering applied to these solids reveal mas-sive local displacive disorder and short range compositional order in these solids. Examples of such local structural complexities in PMN and PLZT are discussed.

TL;DR: The structure of the relaxor ferroelectric Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 crystal was studied with the X-ray single crystal diffraction at 110, 224 and 293 K as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The structure of the relaxor ferroelectric Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 crystal was studied with the X-ray single crystal diffraction at 110, 224 and 293 K The remarkable redistribution of the reflections intensities at low temperatures was observed The structure of the low temperature phase is described with the model of the substantially nonuniform displacements of the lead ions using the derived analytical expression of the scattering form-factor The structure refinement shows the good agreement between the model and the experimental data at low temperatures
