Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibitory effects of -guanidino acid esters on trypsin, plasmin, plasma kallikrein and thrombin.

TL;DR: Phenyl and 4′-(2″-carboxy)ethylphenyl trans -4-aminomethylcyclohexanecarboxylates were the most effective inhibitors of trypsin and plasmin, and they strongly inhibited the esterolytic activities of plasma kallikrein and thrombin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationship between lipase and esterase

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors showed that hepatic triglyceride lipase resembles esterase since it hydrolyzes the water-soluble substrate better than the waterinsoluble substrate.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanism of the phosphorylation of thymidine by the culture filtrate of Clostridium perfringens and rat liver extract.

TL;DR: A factor from the culture filtrate of Clostridium perfringens involved in thymidine phosphorylation utilizing ATP as phosphate donor in the presence of a factor from liver extract was purified approximately 9000-fold.
Journal ArticleDOI

Alternative methods of thymidine phosphorylation in different organisms.

TL;DR: Thymidine was found to be phosphorylated to thymidine 5′-monophosphate using ATP as phosphate donor in germinating potatoes and Tetrahymena pyriformis as well as in regenerating rat liver and tumor tissues.
