PSO-ANN based diagnostic model for the early detection of dengue disease

TL;DR: It is observed that the proposed diagnostic model is a proficient and powerful model for more accurate and earlier detection of dengue fever.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of Soft Computing Approaches in HealthCare Domain: A Mini Review

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identified the various soft computing approaches which are used for diagnosing and predicting the diseases and identified various diseases for which these approaches are applied, and categories the soft computing approach for clinical support system.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Diagnosis of Dengue Disease: An Evaluation of Three Machine Learning Approaches

TL;DR: Three prevalent machine learning methodologies, including, Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Decision Tree (DT) and Naive Bayes (NB) are evaluated for designing a diagnostic model and results showed that ANN-based diagnostic model appears to yield better performance measures over both the DT and NB models.
Book ChapterDOI

Early Diagnostics Model for Dengue Disease Using Decision Tree-Based Approaches

TL;DR: Standard statistical metrics are used to assess the efficiency of the proposed Dengue disease diagnostic system, and the outcomes showed that REP tree is best among these classifiers with 82.7% efficient in supplying an exact diagnosis.
