A novel clocking effect between inlet bend and volute in an automotive turbocharging system

TL;DR: In this article, a turbocharger compressor with inlet bent pipe was investigated and the clocking effect between the inlet bend and the volute was found to positively exist at the research point near chock.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unsteady Flow Variability Driven by Rotor-stator Interaction at Rotor Exit

TL;DR: In this paper, a transonic axial compressor model with close and far axial gap between rotor and stator rows is studied in the simulation, and rotor wake shifts to suction side of rotor blade with 5%−10% of rotor pitch, the absolute value of flow angle at rotor exit is less than that in the case of close interspace for every time step, and the fluctuation amplitude also decreased.
