A new method for estimating fatigue life of notched specimen

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method to predict the whole fatigue life of notch components is proposed based on the theory of damage mechanics in this paper, which is concise, effective and feasible for practical application.
Journal ArticleDOI

Method for Predicting Crack Initiation Life of Notched Specimen Based on Damage Mechanics

TL;DR: Based on the theory of damage mechanics, a method for fatigue crack initiation life prediction of notched components is proposed in this article, where the damage evolution equation of a notched component under tension compressive loading is obtained in term of closed-form solution.
Journal ArticleDOI

Research on multiaxial fatigue life of notched specimens based on Weibull distribution and Bayes estimation

TL;DR: Based on the nominal stress method and the influence of stress gradient on fatigue life, a fatigue life prediction method combined with the Weibull distribution is proposed in this paper , and the accuracy of the model is verified with three materials, then the prediction life of the proposed model is compared with that of the SWT model, the FS model and the Manson-Coffin equation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Correction Method for Calculating Critical Plane Position of Geometric Discontinuity Steel Structure Under Multiaxial Loading

TL;DR: In this article, a new numerical simulation method is proposed to determine the critical plane of geometric discontinuity structure under multiaxial loading, which is one of the most promising approaches to predict the fatigue life when the structure is subjected to the multi-axial loading.
