Journal ArticleDOI

Glacio-eustatic sea-level control on Red Sea salinity

TL;DR: The authors used both oxygen isotope data and a fractional overmixing model to estimate the impact of the most recent (18,000 yr BP) Pleistocene glacio-eustatic sea-level lowering on Red Sea salinity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Paleoceanographic record of the last glacial/interglacial cycle in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied changes in water mass conditions in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden during the last 18,000 years and found that changes in the local climate and circulation regime during this period resulted in significant hydrographic changes in surface and bottom waters in the red sea and intermediate waters of the Gulf.
