Impact of XPM Crosstalk on SCM-Based RoF Systems

TL;DR: Simulative investigation shows that increase in separation between wavelengths degrade the overall system performance, which limits the number of optical wavelengths that can be used in transmission system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simulative investigation for third order-IM terms in multi-tone RoF system

TL;DR: In this article, a multi-tone radio over fiber (RoF) system design for three RF signals has been investigated for different modulation techniques like direct and external modulation with EDFA and SOA amplification techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mitigation of FWM induced crosstalk in WDM RoF systems by employing different fibers

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of four wave mixing (FWM) crosstalk in a WDM-based radio over fiber (WDF) system were analyzed as a function of channel input power, channel spacing and transmission distance for standard single mode fiber, true wave (TW), true wave reduced slope (TW-RS), corning large effective area fiber (LEAF), and Alcatel Teralight.
Journal ArticleDOI

RoF system based on phase modulator-employing polarization for linearization

TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical model is represented to analyze and improve the performance of radio over fiber (RoF) links against nonlinear distortion, and an improvement of 7.5dB in SFDR for a polarized link in comparison with the conventional link is shown.
