Finite Element Analysis of Field Distribution and Characteristic Performance of Squirrel Cage Induction Motor with Broken Bars

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed the foundations of a technique for diagnosis and characterization of effects of broken bars in squirrel-cage induction motors based on the time-stepping coupled finite-element approach.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Study on three-phase four-leg control technology of permanent magnet synchronous motor in electric vehicle

TL;DR: In this paper, a three-phase four-leg control system with the fault-tolerant function is proposed, where the fourth leg is added and connected to the motor neutral point, and three dimensional voltage space vector modulation (3D-SVPWM) technique is utilized to drive PMSM, which make PMSM has a good running characteristics and can guarantee system safe and reliable running in the case of the lacking phase or the one-phased open-circuit fault.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Influence of Sleeve Material on Electromagnetic Field Based on Multi-Physical Field for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

TL;DR: In this article, a 12.5 kW, 2000 rpm permanent magnet synchronous motor with 0.2mm thickness stainless steel sleeve as an example, based on the principle of thermos cup, the sleeve adopted insulation cylinder material is proposed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Analysis of the influence of rotor material on IMCCR temperature field

TL;DR: In this article, a new kind of induction motor with compound cage rotor(IMCCR) is developed, in which rotor bar is composed of upper part made of alloy material (conductor of electric and magnetic) and lower part of cast aluminum.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

The heat conducting analysis of transient temperature field in IMCCR with discontinuous blocked rotor under different structure

TL;DR: In this article, a new kind of induction motor with compound cage rotor (IMCCR) is developed, in which rotor bar is composed of upper part made of alloy material (conductor of electric and magnetic) and lower part of cast aluminum, and the transient temperature field was numerically calculated by using the method of coupling electromagnetic field and temperature field.
