This invention is intended to provide a pipe inspection method and apparatus that can be used to implement rapid, tomographic inspection of a pipe set up at a narrow location. The pipe inspection method of the present invention includes: a first step for scanning the pipe by translating a radiation source and radiation detector arranged opposedly to the pipe; a second step for the radiation detector to detect radiation that the radiation source has emitted, at given scanning distance intervals; a third step for creating a transmission image of the pipe, based on a radiation dose that the radiation detector has detected; and a fourth step for constructing a tomogram or stereoscopic image of the pipe, based on the transmission image. According to this invention, it is possible to provide the pipe inspection method and apparatus that can be used to implement rapid, tomographic inspection of the pipe set up at a narrow location.

Inspection system and control method for the same

An inspection system includes an irradiation source, an image detector, and a placement device. The placement device comprises a carrier and a rotation mechanism. With respect to connections, the placement device is configured to be disposed between the irradiation source and the image detector, and the rotation mechanism is configured to be connected to the carrier. With respect to operations, the irradiation source and the image detector are driven to be moved along a predetermined path, the carrier is configured to carry at least one object, and the rotation mechanism is configured to rotate the carrier.

Inspection system and method for controlling the same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray cross-sectional plane examination apparatus which can obtain clear X-ray images using a limited number of parts and a simple structure and without the use of a special optical system. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with an X-ray source 2 for irradiating a subject S with X rays, a first rotating means (rotating stage 4) for revolving the specimen, an X ray-optical image conversion means (X rays I.I5) to convert a fluoroscopic image transmitted through the specimen into an optical image, an image pickup means 8 for picking up the optical image, a second rotating means (rotation mechanism 6) for rotating the imaging means synchronized with the first rotation means and an image processing means 9, which composites a plurality of images at the angles of rotation to generate a tomographic image of a subject. The fluoroscopic image is detected by rotating the subject, while the imaging means for obtaining the optical image from transmission X rays is rotated to synchronize the rotation of the subject, thereby obtaining an X-ray image with a higher sharpness.
