An electrophotographic photosensitive member that can not easily cause charging lines even where it is an electrophotographic photosensitive member employing as a conductive layer a layer containing metal oxide particles is disclosed. Also disclosed are a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus which have such an electrophotographic photosensitive member. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a conductive layer which contains titanium oxide particles coated with tin oxide doped with phosphorus or tungsten.

This invention relates to an improvement in an electrophotographic recording material comprising an electrically conductive support, optionally an insulating intermediate layer, and a photoconductive layer composed of at least one layer comprising charge carrier-producing and charge transporting compounds, a binder, and conventional additives, the improvement that the recording material comprises a 75 to 250 μm thick support, and, in the form of a photoconductor web, is sufficiently flexible that it is not prone to the formation of hairline cracks when repeatedly conducted over rollers of at least 12 mm diameter, said binder being a cellulose nitrate with a viscosity of 400±25 cPoises at concentrations between about 4 and 12 percent in a 5 percent aqueous acetone solution, according to DIN 53 179 (standard type 4-12).

An audio/video distribution system for a multiple dwelling unit provides programming which is selectable by a subscriber through the interactive use of on-screen menus. Programming and services are supplied from a headend (12) over a distribution network (20) to individual apartments, which network includes an interdiction field unit (28) associated with each of a group of apartments. The interdiction field unit normally interdicts those channels capable of carrying VOD movies, interactive games, and interactive services. When a subscriber wishes to order a selection through interactive on-screen menus provided from the headend to the apartment, the headend instructs the interdiction field unit associated with the subscriber's apartment to de-interdict a channel. Selections made through a remote control to a subscriber terminal in the apartment are supplied to the headend over the distribution system. The channel remains deinterdicted during play of a selection, based upon the signals received from the subscriber terminal during the interactive on-screen menu session.

Described is a process for producing adherent layer(s) on organic polymeric substrates following the steps of (a) treating the surface of the polymeric substrate to provide reactive groups; (b) applying to the surface a polymerizable composition of organic anhydrides, isocyanates and/or a mixture thereof that is substantially free of organosiloxanes; and (c) curing the polymerizable coating.
