In order to transmit information data from a station to another station through a transmission channel, only the information data (a31 to a00, b31 to b00, etc) are transmitted when the channel has a good channel quality. When the channel quality is bad, error correction code words are composed for transmission by adding redundancy bits (A15 to A00, B15 to B00, etc) to the information data. When the channel quality is bad even with transmission of the code words, error correction code blocks are composed by interleaving information bits (a's, b's, etc) and the redundancy bits in a selected number of code words with the selected number increased from two depending on the channel quality. Alternatively, such data, words, or blocks are transmitted with a transmission rate adjusted.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an error in data and to stabilize a reference value when there is deterioration in a bit error rate by the influence of fading even with the sufficient reference value. SOLUTION: A radio wave part 1 is provided with the interface function of a radio wave infrastructure and an RSSI detecting part 2 converts an electric field level received by the radio wave part 1 into a voltage value and executes detection as an RSSI level to be the reference of initial value decision. A MO DEM 3 modulates/demodulates communication data. A bit error rate detecting equipment 4 detects the bit error rate for finely adjusting transmission speed from frame synchronization data which is inputted through the radio wave part 1 and the MODEM 3. A transmission speed deciding equipment 5 decides the initial value of transmission speed from the RSSI level detected by the RSSI detecting equipment 2, finely adjusts the initial value by the bit error rate detected by the bit error rate detecting equipment 4 and decides optimum transmission speed. A control system 6 controls a whole mobile radio equipment. A data terminal part 7 is provided with a user interface function and also manages data storage.

PURPOSE: To shorten time for transmission by avoiding transmission to which an unnecessary redundant bit is added, by adopting a first communication means only with an information bit, to which the redundant bit is not added, when the quality of a communication line is satisfactory by adopting a second communication means with an error correction code, to which the redundant bit is added, when any answer corresponding to normal reception does not come from an opposite side device. CONSTITUTION: The first stage of communication with the opposite device is performed by a receiver 102 and following a synchronizing signal, any redundant bit is not added but only the required information bit is transmitted. When it is judged on this first stage of communication that normal data transmission can not be performed, a CPU 108 controls an encoder 110, converts data related to a received message to the error correction code for the unit of L+M bits, to which the redundant bit of a bit length M is added for each of L bits, and outputs it to a serial transmission part 112 continuously to the synchronizing signal. Further, when it is judged even in this communication that the normal data transmission can not be performed, transmission is performed after executing interleave processing to the error correction code.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive incremental redundancy Hybrid ARQ method for retransmitting information in a communication channel of a wireless communication system.SOLUTION: Code multiplexing is used within fixed length frames in order to change the number of codes, modulation, and coding on retransmission to provide a desired redundancy for successful decoding. The operation of adaptive Hybrid ARQ in a code domain also provides finer granularity to efficiently transmit redundancy. In a method for retransmitting information in a communication channel of a wireless communication system, the communication channel has a plurality of fixed length frames each divided into a plurality of time slots of equal duration, including a step of code multiplexing retransmission of a previous transmission within one of the fixed length frames using one or more of a plurality of codes. The number of codes used for the retransmission is variable based on the condition of the communication channel.

Method for information retransmission in communication channel of wireless communication system

PURPOSE: To secure communication quality by providing a function for detecting the line quality of a communication network and a function for rewriting a speed display part in a negotiation signal and converting a communication speed corresponding to the line quality. CONSTITUTION: A line quality measuring circuit 18 detects the line quality in the communication network during connecting operation and an encoding rate selecting circuit 19 calculates an encoding rate required to obtain prescribed communication quality and the communication speed in the communication network when a signal is sent at the encoding rate according to detection information on the line quality. An encoding rate variation error correcting circuit 22 sets the encoding rate on receiving the calculation results and a binary signal terminating circuit 21 changes the signal transmission speed display area in a binary control signal so that the communication speed between terminals equals the communication speed in the communication network.
