TL;DR: This architecture could not only keep the loosely coupled integration between storage service and web applications but also provide better content manipulation features such as edge network content delivery, caching, secured access control, the variations of content objects generated on demand, and post-process on content objects.
Abstract: With the trend of cloud computing, more and more web applications move their content to external storage services to reduce the cost of hardware and maintenance. In this paper, a novel architecture called CloudEdge for Content Delivery Network (CDN) with the storage service in cloud computing is introduced. This architecture could not only keep the loosely coupled integration between storage service and web applications but also provide better content manipulation features such as edge network content delivery, caching, secured access control, the variations of content objects generated on demand, and post-process on content objects.

TL;DR: A set of Course Communication services based on web service were built so that developers can more easily build connection among Moodle servers and other kinds of systems.
Abstract: Moodle is an open source and one of the most popular learning management systems (LMS) currently. Developers can customize functionality and modules for educating purpose. When integrating with other systems, developers have to deal with the barrier that comes from Moodle servers with different version or other human resource system. Therefore it will be valuable for allowing teachers who are at different places to exchanging teaching materials. To solve these problems, a set of Course Communication services based on web service were built. With these services, developers can more easily build connection among Moodle servers and other kinds of systems. In addition, A Moodle module called OpenMoodle is also developed. With this module, instructors can exchange course materials and teach collaboratively with other educators and monitor student’s learning status by holding course materials locally. In addition, students can acquire material from multiple resources.

TL;DR: This research had simplified the Web service management effort between services using hook technology, and provided message flow oriented management atomically without modifying service code.
Abstract: Web services define standard interfaces those provide good solution for enterprise integration. Recently, many researches focus on creating management standards to manage Web services. Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) is one of the industry standards. However, to implement the WSDM interfaces needs to understand server Web service standards. It increases the complexity and difficulty to build the management system. In this research, we had simplified the Web service management effort between services using hook technology. Our management systems provide message flow oriented management atomically without modifying service code. Enterprise can control all flows and review them at any time. Finally, we evaluate the overhead for our proposed technology. Enterprise can build a quickly, efficient and extensible management system in the Web services environment.

TL;DR: A relaxable web composition system is proposed based on a Relaxable QoS-based service selection algorithm (RQSS), to demonstrate its feasibility and performance as well as to share the experiences of developing a web service composition system.
Abstract: Web Services are emerging technologies that enable application to application communication and reuse of autonomous services over Web. Composition of web services is a concept of integrating individual web services to conduct complex business transactions based on functionality and performance constraints. To simplify composite web service development, technologies of quality of service (QoS) based web services composition (QWSC) are widely used to build complex applications by discovering the best-fit web services. In this paper, a web service composition system is proposed based on our previous study, a Relaxable QoS-based service selection algorithm (RQSS), to demonstrate its feasibility and performance as well as to share the experiences of developing a web service composition system. The proposed system is compatible with WS-BPEL standards, which can be used for composite web application development through intuitive graphic user interfaces. The experimental results show that the proposed relaxable web composition system performs well with notably improvement for application availability and reliability.

TL;DR: Using MapReduce framework, which is designed for distributed processing of large data sets on clusters of computers, this paper proposes a solution of building a large-scale email system with complete protection from spam and viruses.
Abstract: Running an email system with full protection from spam and viruses has always been a pain for any system administrator The problem becomes more severe for those who are responsible for large number of mail-boxes with huge amount of data in a large-scale email system By using MapReduce framework, which is designed for distributed processing of large data sets on clusters of computers, this paper proposes a solution of building a large-scale email system with complete protection from spam and viruses.

TL;DR: Recurrence rate can be decreased after the efficiency of exception handling process is enhanced, and with completely recorded losses and costs, managers can manage enterprise resources in a more efficient way.
Abstract: After the global economic crisis, enterprises tend to lower their operating cost to improve their competitive advantages. Among different kinds of operating costs, lowering manufacturing cost brings the most significant effect. Among different manufacturing processes, not only the correctness and efficiency during producing products, but also those losses and expenses result from critical exception of product quality should be considered. The paper proposes a PDCA-based system for handling exception management process after critical exceptional events occurred. By facilitating managers to convene Material Review Board (MRB) meeting of critical exceptions, to manage and trace actions, and to constructing exception handling knowledge base, recurrence rate can be decreased after the efficiency of exception handling process is enhanced. Moreover, with completely recorded losses and costs, managers can manage enterprise resources in a more efficient way.
