Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of surface conditioning methods on the microtensile bond strength of resin composite to composite after aging conditions.

TL;DR: Chairside silica coating and silanization provided higher resin-resin bond strength values compared to acid etching with phosphoric acid followed by adhesive resin applications and Citric acid was the least aggressive aging medium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of different finishing and polishing techniques on the surface roughness of microfilled, hybrid and packable composite resins

TL;DR: The smoothest surfaces were obtained with the use the complete sequence of Sof-Lex discs, and in areas that could not be reached by the aluminum oxide discs, the carbide burs and the association between rubber points and polishing pastes produced satisfactory surface smoothness for the packable and hybrid composite resins, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of caries preventive measures directed to expectant mothers on caries experience in their children

TL;DR: Evidence is supported of an association between caries prevalence in young children and clinical (dental plaque) and maternal factors and Maternal caries increase was a significant factor influencing the caries experience of the children.
Journal ArticleDOI

Repair bond strength of microhybrid, nanohybrid and nanofilled resin composites: effect of substrate resin type, surface conditioning and ageing.

TL;DR: On the aged RBCs, less favourable repair strength could be expected especially for nanohybrid composite, but less number of pre-test failures was experienced with the CoJet system compared to adhesive resin application only.
Journal Article

Does the thickness of the resin cement affect the bond strength of a fiber post to the root dentin

TL;DR: This study aimed to evaluate the influence of cement thickness on the bond strength of a fiber-reinforced composite (FRC) post system to the root dentin using single-rooted human teeth decoronated with adhesive plus resin cement.
