Stormwater detention basin for improving road-runoff quality
TL;DR: The basin investigated in this study was located on the eastern side of the southern expressway in Adelaide, Australia and the water quality parameters tested included pH, conductivity, total suspended solids, total dissolved solids (TDS), total Kjeldahl nitrogen, total phosphorous, total hydrocarbons, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, zinc and nickel.
An Investigation of Free Surface Hydraulic Structures Using Large Eddy Simulation and Computational Fluid Dynamics

Rainwater harvesting options for commercial buildings using siphonic roof drainage systems : lessons for building surveyors
TL;DR: Siphonic roof drainage is a relatively new building services technology which has many benefits over conventional drainage systems as mentioned in this paper, such as the ability to quickly drain high intensity rainfall events, substantial cost reductions, virtual elimination of underground pipework and the opportunities for significant stormwater reuse options.
Journal ArticleDOI
Insight into dissolved organic matter fractions in Lake Wivenhoe during and after a major flood.
TL;DR: Information on dissolved organic matter and the spatial and vertical variations in its constituents’ concentrations across the lake can be very useful for catchment and lake management and for selecting appropriate water treatment processes.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Statistical Behaviour of Adelaide's Rainfall — Is Climate Change Detectable?
Simon Beecham,Rezaul Chowdhury +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors attempted to identify the statistical behaviour of point rainfall measured at the Adelaide airport at fine (< 12 hour) and at coarse (monthly) temporal resolutions.
