Remote working and digital transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic: Economic–financial impacts and psychological drivers for employees

TL;DR: In this paper , a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design was used to investigate the economic-financial impacts of remote working on labourers, finding that the majority of workers experience a negative economic impact due to the additional costs incurred for digital technology and platforms and for utilities as well as the nonpayment of overtime and meal vouchers, which are higher than the savings in commuting costs and out-of-pocket expenses.

TL;DR: In this article, a survey of 196 outdoor market operators (including farmers and street food traders) from 27 outdoor markets, the authors analyzed unsold food/food wastage processes vis-a-vis the operators' behavior and attitude and showed how optimizing food waste management characterizes best practices and favors the development of sustainability.
