TL;DR: Genotype D9 MeV became endemic and caused two big outbreaks in the Philippines in 2010 and 2011 and molecular clock analysis of N gene showed that the recent genotypes D9 viruses diverged from a common ancestor in 2005 in one of the neighboring Southeast Asian countries where D9 was endemic.
