With the wide application of QR code, the security problem of QR code is serious, such as information leakage and data tampering. In order to solve the QR information security problem, this paper proposed a secure QR code schema based on visual cryptography. The QR code is divided into two share images that can be transmitted separately. The generation of the two share images is based on the pseudo-random matrix, that is, the pixels in the two share images are determined by the corresponding values in the pseudo-random matrix. The two share images can be stacked simply to restore the information. Simulation results show that the QR code image can be well hidden, and it can be restored effectively. Secure QR Code Scheme Based on Visual Cryptography

Now a days many people are doing online financial transactions. This transaction needs to be secure. There are various attacks present behind this. Phishing is one type of attack. For detecting this attack, various anti-phishing mechanisms are used. In phishing process, suppose cheater sends out thousands of phishing emails with a link to the fake website. Victims click on links in email believing it is legitimate. They enter personal information on that fake website. Fraudsters collect the stolen data and login into correct website. This is an overall process of phishing. We propose a new scheme for online fraud transaction prevention using extended visual cryptography and QR codes. This scheme uses extended visual cryptography for share generation. One time password is used for phishing website detection. Extended visual cryptography is used for converting the QR code into two shares. The system provides security for online users and detecting the phishing websites.

Online fraud transaction prevention system using extended visual cryptography and QR code

Nowadays Online transactions are become very common and there are various attacks occur behind this. In these types of various attacks, phishing is very common attack. For detecting this attack various anti-phishing mechanisms are used. Propose a new authentication scheme for se-cure OTP distribution in phishing website detection through EVC and QR codes. The Website Detection using extended visual cryptography (EVC) technique and OTP to solve the problem of phishing. Here an image based authentication using extended visual cryptography is implemented with the combination of OTP (One Time Password). Image based QR codes authentication using EVC is used. The use of secret sharing technique is discovered to convert the QR code into two shares and both these shares can then be transmitted separately. One Time Passwords (OTP) is passwords which are valid only for a session to validate the user within a specified amount of time. The system provides high security requirements of the online users and protects them against various security attacks. Also the system is very user-friendly. It is reliable method for detecting phishing websites.

Online shopping allows consumers to buy goods or services over the Internet. As the popularity of online shopping increases, Debit or Credit card fraud and personal information security are major concerns for customers, merchants, and banks. Identity theft and phishing are the common dangers of online shopping. In phishing process, suppose cheater sends out thousands of phishing emails with a link to the fake website. Victims click on links in email believing it is legitimate. They enter personal information on that fake website. Fraudsters use this information to login to the original website. This paper proposes a new scheme of detecting and preventing phishing sites. It is done using extended visual cryptography, steganography and android application. It reduces user interaction by auto-upload of shares and QR code details during authentication and this adds to security by reducing errors due to manual intervention.

E-commerce applications provide on-line clients
and merchants with a quick and convenient way to exchange
goods and services. However, the deployment of these
applications is still facing many problems such as security
threats; and on-line attacks. These often cause users to be
concerned about their own privacy and encourage them to stop
using on-line methods. Thus, a number of on-line authentication
technologies and methods have been developed in order to
authenticate users and merchants, verify their identities, and
therefore overcome e-commerce security threats. Although
stand-alone authentication solutions have been successful in
authenticating legitimate clients and in defeating on-line attacks,
they are often weak in overcoming the Man-In-The-Browser
(MITB) attack, which is a type of Internet threat that infects a
web-browser in a concealed fashion, and is invisible to both client
and host applications. This paper presents a Mobile User
Authentication System (MUAS) that uses QR code technology to
authenticate on-line users, through a challenge/response protocol.
Based on this mechanism, the system integrates different
authentication technologies and methods to provide an improved
and secure on-line user and merchant authentication system that
overcomes MITB attack, without compromising usability and
ubiquity.
