Modelling Nitromethane Combustion
TL;DR: In this article, the burning behavior and the flame spectrum in the UV=VIS spectral range were investigated based on a detailed chemical kinetics and a linear combustion model including a reduced mechanism.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plasma Ignition and Combustion
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of plasma interaction on ignition and combustion were investigated for transparent and opaque versions of the JA2 propellant and its effect on the burning rate was analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Burn Rate Models for Gun Propellants
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of the Metal Particle Size on the Ignition of Energetic Materials
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermite Type Reactions of Different Metals with Iron‐Oxide and the Influence of Pressure
Volker Weiser,Evelin Roth,Angelika Raab,Maria Juez-Lorenzo,Stefan Kelzenberg,Norbert Eisenreich +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, aluminium, magnesium and titanium particles in μm-scale were mixed with iron(III) oxide and filled into small test tubes maintaining a constant bulk density, the metals were chosen regarding their heat release, melting and boiling point, the latter also important for the metal oxides.
