Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of the GenoType® MTBDRplus Ver 2.0 assay for detection of rifampicin and isoniazid resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex isolates at UZCHS-CTRC TB research laboratory.

TL;DR: The GenoType® MTBDRplus Ver 2.0 assay's sensitivity and specificity show that the assay is highly accurate for the detection of RIF and INH resistance and thus can be used as an alternate platform due to its shorter results turnaround time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of Cortez OneStep Chlamydia Rapicard™ Insta Test for the Detection of Chlamydia trachomatis in Pregnant Women at Mbare Polyclinic in Harare, Zimbabwe.

TL;DR: The kit’s sensitivity and specificity implies that the rapid test is an important test which needs further evaluations, and the prevalence of C. trichomitis of 5.8% is comparable to studies done elsewhere in Africa.
