Branching dendrites with resonant membrane: a “sum-over-trips” approach
Stephen Coombes,Yulia Timofeeva,Carl-Magnus Svensson,Gabriel J. Lord,Krešimir Josić,Steven J. Cox,C. M. Colbert +6 more
TL;DR: The effects of dendritic branching and resonant membrane dynamics are combined by generalising the “sum-over-trips” approach by considering dual recording and reconstruction data from a rat CA1 hippocampal pyramidal cell.
Journal ArticleDOI
Low-dimensional, morphologically accurate models of subthreshold membrane potential.
TL;DR: It is argued here that one can retain this highly detailed input structure while dramatically reducing the overall system dimension if one is content to accurately reproduce the associated membrane potential at a small number of places, e.g., at the site of action potential initiation, under subthreshold stimulation.

The Generalized Gradient at a Multiple Eigenvalue
TL;DR: In this article, the generalized gradient of the extreme eigenvalues at an arbitrary crossing of a symmetric, positive, isomorphism between a reflexive Banach space (that is densely and compactly embedded in a Hilbert space) and its dual varies smoothly over a Banach Space, its eigen values vary in a Lipschitz manner.
