TL;DR: In this paper, the authors suggest guidelines for screening and treatment of vitamin D insufficiency for people with epilepsy, and suggest that even medications which result in lesspotent CYP450 induction (e.g., phenytoin and carbamazepine) induce hepatic enzymes, resulting in accelerated vitamin D metabolism.
