An increased number of scanning lines are used for constituting scanning patterns for scanning bar codes, and the arrangement of the optical system is contrived to decrease the whole size of the bar code reader and, particularly, to decrease the depth of the bar code reader. A source of laser light, a splitter for splitting the laser beam emitted from the laser light source into two, a reflection mirror for transmitting one beam from the splitter to a polygon mirror, the polygon mirror which rotates to scan the incident laser beam, a mirror system for emitting the beam reflected by the polygon mirror through the reading window, and a focusing member for focusing the beam reflected by the bar code onto a detector that detects the beam reflected by the bar code, are arranged on the same line in the bar code reader. By using a concave mirror, furthermore, the beam reflected by the bar code is folded back to one detector. The light-receiving surface of another detector is faced downward to receive the beam reflected by the bar code through Fresnel lens and mirror, thereby to decrease the depth of the bar code reader. Furthermore, the beam passage from the reflection mirror goes through the lower surface of the polygon mirror intersecting the axis of rotation of the polygon mirror.

Ammonium gas injected from the nozzle 6 netralizes acid components in SOX gas adhered to the cylinder wall surface, and ammonium gas injected from the nozzle 7 denitrates NOX in exhaust gas so that NOX is changed into N2.

SOLUTION: Dried natural pressed flowers 3 on an Unryu-patterned Japanese paper 2 being generally used as a sliding-door paper on the surface of the yarn winding frame stand is wholly covered with an extremely thin semitransparent Japanese paper 4 and the whole face of the Japanese paper 4 is thinly coated with a paste prepared by mixing a bond for wood processing and a Fueki paste to bring the thin Japanese paper 4 into tight contact with the Unryu-patterned Japanese paper 2 and at the same time, by crushing the surrounding of the pressed flowers placed between the Japanese papers 2 and 4 by means of a brush and a pincette and by forming a condition where it is hardly detected that the Japanese paper 4 on the surface is stuck, the pressed flowers 3 are three-dimensionally floated up on the surface of the Japanese paper 2 and in addition, by delicately moving a means for irradiation of the light source 6 up and down and left and right, the pressed flowers 3 are three-dimensionally floated up into various shapes.

PURPOSE:To prepare dried leaves which can be stored for a long time without color fading, by placing the plant between a pair of sheets (cloths, paper, etc.) containing CaCl2 or LiCl as a dehydrant, heating and dehydrating the plant, and coating the plant with an oily agent to prevent the moisture absorption. CONSTITUTION:A plant is placed between a pair of cloths or paper soaked with CaCl2.2H2O or LiCl.H2O as a dehydrant, and dried by heating at a controlled temperature (usually 40-50 deg.C). The dried leaves are coated with a mixture of a non-volatile oil or fat such as vaseline, drying oil, etc., and a volatile oil such as terpentine oil, gas oil, etc. to prevent the moisture absorption during storage. The leaves thus prepared can be stored for more than two years without causing color fading, when kept from high temperature or direct rays of the sunlight.
