Journal ArticleDOI
Stormwater retention performance of green roofs with various configurations in different climatic zones.
Jingya. Yan,Shouhong Zhang,Jianjun Zhang,Sun-Xun Zhang,Chengyu Zhang,Hang Yang,Renzhongyuan Wang,Liangyi Wei +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a hydrological model which can be used to simulate dynamic changes in moisture content and evapotranspiration of green roofs is developed and tested (with average Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency of 0.8197 for calibration and 0.862 for verification) using monitoring data (2018-2019) of four green roofs with various configurations.
Journal ArticleDOI
A framework to assess spatio-temporal variations of potential non-point source pollution risk for future land-use planning
TL;DR: In this article , a framework which couples the modified potential non-point pollution indicator (PNPI) model with the future land-use simulation (FLUS) model was developed and applied for assessing the spatio-temporal variations of NSP risk caused by both historical and possible future land use change in a rapidly urbanized basin (i.e., the upper Beiyun River basin, Beijing) during 1980-2030).
Impacts of Vegetation on Quantity and Quality of Runoff from Green Roofs
TL;DR: The runoff reduction rates of the green roof planted with Portulaca grandiflora were significantly higher than both the Festuca elata green roof and the non-vegetated bed (P<0.05) and all the green roofs acted as the sources of DCr, DCu, and DNi.
Journal ArticleDOI
[Effects of Green, Blue, and Blue-green Roofs on Runoff Quality].
Sun-Xun Zhang,Shou-Hong Zhang,Jihui Yang,Kaiyan Wang,Huanming Yang,Ren Wang,Wenlong Zhang,Hualin Li +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , different eco-roofs (i.e., 68.6%-90.7%, and 39.8%-54.5%) were compared to different sources of NO-3-N, DCr, DFe, and DNi.
Journal ArticleDOI
[Inter-annual Changes in Runoff Quality from Green Roofs with Different Vegetation].
Sun-Xun Zhang,Shouhong Zhang,De Ge,Jihui Yang,Han-Tao Yang,Ren Wang,Liangyi Wei,Chengyu Zhang +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the inter-annual changes in runoff quality of green roofs with different vegetation types, and three green roofs were set up in Beijing, and evaluated the influences of vegetation and monitoring period on runoff quality from the green roofs using the plant growth characteristics and the quality of rainwater and runoff from green roofs during the rainy season of 2017-2019.
