The fabrication of printed high-performance and environmentally stable n-type single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) transistors and their integration into complementary (i.e., complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor, CMOS) circuits are widely recognized as key to achieving the full potential of carbon nanotube electronics. Here, we report a simple, efficient, and robust method to convert the polarity of SWCNT thin-film transistors (TFTs) using cheap and readily available ethanolamine as an electron doping agent. Printed p-type bottom-gate SWCNT TFTs can be selectively converted into n-type by deposition of ethanolamine inks on the transistor active region via aerosol jet printing. Resulted n-type TFTs show excellent electrical properties with an on/off ratio of 106, effective mobility up to 30 cm2 V–1 s–1, small hysteresis, and small subthreshold swing (90–140 mV dec–1), which are superior compared to the original p-type SWCNT devices. This article introduces synthesis and characterization of seven novel Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Ru(III) complexes with the [N4] ligand. The complexes have been characterized by physicochemical, spectral, and thermal analysis data. The effect of gamma irradiation on powder samples of some complexes was also investigated.

Synthesis, spectral and gamma ray irradiation studies on metal complexes of N,N′-naphthalene-1,8-diylbis(2-aminobenzamide)

Carbon-based materials have been used for SO2 removal from flue gases for several decades. In this process, SO2 is captured by storing in the pores of carbons in the form of H2SO4, and regeneration of the SO2-captured materials is necessary to recover SO2 capture ability. V2O5-supported activated coke (V2O5/AC) has been reported to be highly active for SO2 removal, and its regeneration has been investigated from the viewpoint of the reaction mechanism. This work studied the regeneration kinetics with the aid of a thermogravimetric analyzer coupled with a mass spectrometer. The SO2-captured sample was prepared in a fixed-bed reactor with a simulated flue gas containing 1500 ppm of SO2, 5% O2, and 5% H2O. Kinetics of Thermal Regeneration of SO2-Captured V2O5/AC

Some aryl amide Schiff base Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) distance between Cu(II) and complexes (1–7) have been obtained and identified by various analytical and spectroscopic tools. To through a light on the probability of structure changes with γ-irradiation, powder samples of complexes 1, 3, 5 and 6 were irradiated with 60Co γ-rays at dose of 100 kGy (hereafter referred to as 1F, 3F, 5F and 6F). Spectral, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, thermal, X-ray diffraction and antioxidant activity for the irradiated complexes were gained using similar methods used for the non-irradiated complexes. The data revealed that the irradiated complexes were not seriously affected by the utilized γ-irradiation dose.

Effect of γ irradiation on non-isothermal decomposition kinetics, X-ray diffraction pattern, infrared spectrum and antibacterial property of tris(1,2-diaminoethane)nickel(II)oxalate

The thermal decomposition of un-irradiated and gamma-irradiated potassium bromate (KBrO3) was performed under non-isothermal conditions at different heating rates (5, 10, 15 and 20 K min−1). The data was analysed using isoconversional and non-isoconversional methods. The kinetic parameters of thermal decomposition process were obtained by three model-free isoconversional methods: Flynn–Wall–Ozawa, Kissinger–Akahira–Sunose and Friedman. Irradiation enhances the decomposition and the effect increases with the irradiation dose. The activation energy decreases on irradiation. Kinetic analysis of data in view of various solid-state reaction models showed that the decomposition of un-irradiated and irradiated anhydrous KBrO3 is best described by the Avrami–Erofeev model equation, [−ln(l−α)]1/2 = kt.

Kinetic analysis for non-isothermal decomposition of un-irradiated and gamma-irradiated potassium bromate

γ-Irradiation effects on the non-isothermal decomposition of strontium nitrate by model-free and model-fitting methods

Thallous nitrate, TlNO3 was irradiated with 60Co g-rays to 7x102 KGy at a dose rate of 2 kGy h-1. The FT-IR spectrum was used to confirm the existence of damage nitrite while crystal transformations in TlNO3 were established by TG/DTA analysis. The annealing data in the temperature range, 393-433 K was analysed using Fletcher-Brown, Waite and Conventional chemical kinetic methods in order to determine the order of the recovery process, the energy of activation and the fraction recovered as a function of temperature. Thermal annealing is found to be a combination of a fast first order process affecting a greater proportion of the fragments, followed by a predominantly slow second order process, with a higher energy of activation, governing the behaviour of the remainder. It is considered that the first order process is the combination of close-correlated pairs of O and NO2 fragments and the second order process involves the single reaction of random recombination of the fragments throughout the crystal.
