Journal ArticleDOI

Design, synthesis, antimicrobial activity and computational studies of novel azo linked substituted benzimidazole, benzoxazole and benzothiazole derivatives.

TL;DR: Novel azo linked substituted benzimidazole, benzoxazoles, and benzothiazole were synthesized by diazo coupling and characterized by 1H NMR, elemental analysis, FTIR and UV-vis spectroscopy, and the comparative molecular docking studies revealed better insights into binding mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Schiff base clubbed benzothiazole: synthesis, potent antimicrobial and MCF-7 anticancer activity, DNA cleavage and computational study

TL;DR: The compound VS5-e exhibits excellent antimicrobial activities and also shows more chemical reactivity and less toxicity which were confirmed by smaller HOMO–LUMO gap, lesser chemical hardness, higher global softness and lesser electrophilicity index.
Journal ArticleDOI

Computational Studies on Imidazo[1,2-a] Pyridine-3-Carboxamide Analogues as Antimycobacterial Agents: Common Pharmacophore Generation, Atom-based 3D-QSAR, Molecular dynamics Simulation, QikProp, Molecular Docking and Prime MMGBSA Approaches

TL;DR: From the results, the generated 3D-QSAR model may be applicable for additional designing of various novel potent derivatives in the future, as well as for studying ligand-based pharmacophore, Quantitative structure–activity relationship models.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, bioactivities, DFT and in-silico appraisal of azo clubbed benzothiazole derivatives

TL;DR: Six new azo clubbed benzothiazole dyes were synthesized by diazotization reaction and the “HOMO-LUMO” theoretical calculations were correlated with current in-vitro antibacterial results.
