Journal ArticleDOI
Abnormal Coronary Vasomotion as a Prognostic Indicator of Cardiovascular Events in Women Results From the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute–Sponsored Women’s Ischemia Syndrome Evaluation (WISE)
Gregory O. von Mering,Christopher B. Arant,Timothy R. Wessel,Susan P. McGorray,C. Noel Bairey Merz,Barry L. Sharaf,Karen M. Smith,Marian B. Olson,B. Delia Johnson,George Sopko,Eileen M. Handberg,Carl J. Pepine,Richard A. Kerensky +12 more
TL;DR: In women in this study, impaired coronary vasomotor response to acetylcholine was independently linked to adverse cardiovascular outcomes regardless of CAD severity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Anteroposterior skeletal and dental changes after early Class II treatment with bionators and headgear
Stephen D. Keeling,Timothy T. Wheeler,Gregory J. King,Cynthia Garvan,David A. Cohen,Salvatore Cabassa,Susan P. McGorray,Marie G. Taylor +7 more
TL;DR: The data reveal that both bionator and head-gear treatments corrected Class II molar relationships, reduced overjets and apical base discrepancies, and caused posterior maxillary tooth movement in children enrolled in a randomized controlled trial of early treatment for Class II malocclusion.
Journal ArticleDOI
β1-Adrenergic Receptor Polymorphisms and Antihypertensive Response to Metoprolol
Julie A. Johnson,Issam Zineh,Brian J. Puckett,Susan P. McGorray,Hossein Yarandi,Daniel F. Pauly +5 more
TL;DR: This work tested the hypothesis that 2 common polymorphisms in the gene for β1‐adrenergic receptor are associated with antihypertensive response to metoprolol in patients with uncomplicated hypertension.
Journal ArticleDOI
Glaucoma's impact on quality of life and its relation to clinical indicators. A pilot study
Mark B. Sherwood,Alfredo Garcia-Siekavizza,Martin I. Meltzer,Anthony Hebert,Allan F. Burns,Susan P. McGorray +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the quality of life (Q of L) of patients with glaucoma and control subjects and determined the relationships between Q of L and demographic and clinical variables in patients with GlaucomA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effectiveness of early treatment of Class II malocclusion
TL;DR: Multivariate analysis suggested that headgear may be superior to bionator/biteplane in achieving a Class II correction during early treatment.
