Reconfiguration Strategy for Fault Tolerance in a Cascaded Multilevel Inverter Using a Z-Source Converter

TL;DR: The use of the Z-source converter as a fault reconfiguration method applied to a cascade multilevel inverter allows the cascaded multileVEL inverter to continue to operate even in the presence of a fault by having continuous operation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flyback Converter for Solid-State Lighting Applications with Partial Energy Processing

TL;DR: A new AC/DC converter based on the rearrangement of the flyback converter, which only manages part of the energy and the rest is delivered directly from the source to the load and the efficiency is increased, and the stress of the components is reduced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evolutionary Metaheuristic Methods Applied to Minimize the THD in Inverters: A Systematic Review

TL;DR: A systematic analysis with a comprehensive coverage of metaheuristic methods applied to multilevel inverters shows that many researchers use evolutionary algorithms, with Cascaded H-bridge Multilevel Inverter topology, RL loading and 7 levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative analysis of PD-PWM technique in the set: Multilevel Inverter-Induction motor

TL;DR: A comparative analysis of the behavior of the electrical and mechanical parameters in the set: multilevel inverter + induction motor, using four different pulse width modulation techniques to generate the switching states for the power semiconductor devices in a threephase, seven-level cascade multileVEL inverter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Switching Angles Calculation in Multilevel Inverters Using Triangular Number Sequence –A THD Minimization Approach

TL;DR: With the aim of enhancing the waveform quality at the output of a multilevel inverter, this paper explores the suitability of the triangular number sequence to compute the commutation angles in Pulse Width Modulation switching pattern and finds that this approach provides a harmonic performance comparable to the results obtained with other calculation techniques.
