Journal ArticleDOI

A single molecule magnet behaviour in a D3h symmetry Dy(III) complex involving a quinone–tetrathiafulvalene–quinone bridge

TL;DR: A Dy(III)-based dinuclear complex was synthesised and characterised by X-ray diffraction on single crystal and magnetic investigations, revealing a single molecule magnet behaviour for 1 which can be described as two single-ion magnets in a D(3h) local symmetry bridged by an acceptor-donor-acceptor ligand.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel method for the synthesis of functionalized tetrathiafulvalenes, an acceptor–donor–acceptor molecule comprising of two o-quinone moieties linked by a TTF bridge

TL;DR: In this article, a synthesis of o-quinone-tetrathiafulvalene-oquinone triads was presented. But the main purpose of this work was to construct an organic compound, which on the one hand possesses a redox-amphotericity, and on the other hand can act as a bridging ligand in construction of linear, 2D and 3D assemblies.
Journal ArticleDOI

ESR study of paramagnetic derivatives of sterically hindered di-o-quinone with the tetrathiafulvalene bridge

TL;DR: In this article, a radical cation with the unpaired electron localized on the tetrathiafulvalene fragment, which resulted from the oxidation of di-o-quinone 1, was detected by ESR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mono‐ and Binuclear Dimethylthallium(III) Complexes with o‐Benzoquinone‐TTF‐o‐Benzoquinone Ligand; Synthesis, Spectroscopy and X‐ray Study

TL;DR: In this article, the new mono-and binuclear semiquinonato dimethylthallium complexes (Q-TTF-SQ)TlMe2 (1) and Me2Tl(SQ -TTF -SQ)-Me2(2) based on di-o-quinone with tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) bridge, 4,4′, 7,7,7′-tetra-tert-butyl-2,2′-bis-1,3-benz
