The order of the deconfinement transition in su(3) yang-mills theory

TL;DR: In this article, the finite temperature deconfinement transition in SU(3) Yang-Mills theory was studied using a high statistics Monte Carlo evaluation on a 83 × 3 lattice, and it was shown that at the critical temperature, there is a clear two-state signal; above and below, we have hysteresis behaviour.
Journal ArticleDOI

A percolation approach to strongly interacting matter

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that strongly interacting bulk systems exhibit hadronic matter behaviour for densities 0.48 n0 ⩽ n ⩾ 14.0 n0 and quark matter behavior for n ≥ 3.84 n0, where n 0 = 0.17 fm−3 is nuclear density.
Journal ArticleDOI

The latent heat of deconfinement in SU(3) Yang-Mills theory

TL;DR: In this article, the latent heat of deconfinement in SU(3) Yang-Mills theory is calculated from the difference in energy density between the deconfined and the confined phases at the critical temperature Tc.
Journal ArticleDOI

Finite-temperature lattice QCD with Wilson fermions

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermodynamics of QCD with dynamical Wilson fermions are studied in a low-order hopping parameter expansion, using Monte Carlo simulation on 83 × 3 to 103 × 5 lattices.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deconfinement and virtual quark loops

TL;DR: In this paper, the energy density ϵG of the gluon sector of QCD, including virtual quark loops up to the fourth power in the hopping parameter expansion, was calculated on an 83 × 3 lattice.
