A magnetic metal organic framework material as a highly efficient and recyclable catalyst for synthesis of cyclohexenone derivatives

Reactions of acetoacetanilide with aromatic aldehydes in ethanol at room temperature in the presence of molecular iodine and arylamine afford to 6-aryl-2-methyl-4-oxo-N,N’-diphenyl-2-cyclohexene-1,3-dicarboxamides. The structure of obtained compounds was confirmed by mass spectrometry, IR and NMR spectroscopy data.

Stereoselective synthesis of novel functionalized cyclohexanone derivatives via the condensation of aromatic aldehydes with acetoacetamide and the influence of the ortho-effect and autocondensation

A facile synthetic strategy has been reported for the diastereoselective synthesis of N,N′-diaryl-2-aryl-6-hydroxy-6-methyl-4-oxocyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxamide via Et3N-catalyzed. Acetoacetanilide undergoes a diastereoselective condensation reaction with various aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes in EtOH at 50 °C to afford desirable products via one-pot pseudo-three-component reaction. The present protocol provides an inexpensive and efficient route to obtain functionalized cyclohexanones containing four quaternary stereogenic centers with high yields from the simple and readily available starting materials under mild conditions in shorter reaction times. The products have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The stereoselectivity of compounds was established with crystallography and NMR spectroscopy.

Et 3 N catalyzed the diastereoselective synthesis of functionalized cyclohexanones by condensation of acetoacetanilide and various aldehydes in mild conditions

An Eco-Friendly Stereoselective Synthesis of Novel Derivatives of Indeno[1,2-b]Pyrrole and Indeno[1,2-c]Pyridazine

Reaction of N-arylacetoacetamides with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of piperidine in ethanol afforded N,N′,2-triaryl-6-hydroxy-6-methyl-4-oxocyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxamides. The latter reacted with p-toluidine leading to the formation of dehydration products. Reactions of N,N′,2-triaryl-6-hydroxy-6-methyl-4-oxocyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxamides with hydrazine hydrate and cyanoacetic acid hydrazide gave rise to tetrahydroindazoles. Some of the obtained compounds showed antimicrobial activity.

Synthesis of N,N ′,2-triaryl-6-hydroxy-6-methyl-4-oxocyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxamides and their reactions with p -toluidine and hydrazine hydrate

Series of N,N′,2-triaryl-6-hydroxy-6-methyl-4-oxocyclohexane-1,3-dicarboxamides were synthesized in good yields via the reaction of N-arylacetoacetamides and aromatic aldehydes in EtOH in the presence of piperidine. The synthesized compounds were tested for antimicrobial activity.
