TL;DR: The technique for grafting the small apical shoot of citrus to the top of a decapitated seedling grown in vitro was improved by testing various media formulas, different ways of placing the scion tip on the decapitated epicotyl, different rootstocks, light intensities, and different sources and sizes of the scions shoot-tip on graft success.

TL;DR: Trististeza in 1972 affected 82,000 hectares of citrus, and is now the most dangerous citrus disease in Spain, and sour orange can no longer be recommended as a rootstock and such tristeza tolerant stocks as citranges and Cleopatra mandarin are being substituted.
